Free spell for October: Cauldron of wisdom

Toil and boil, by the cauldron side......

For this auspicious month of October we’ve cultivated a unique spell to take advantage of the thinning veil and peek into what may come into our lives. The basis of this spell will incorporate a cauldron, which has been a timeless symbol of the great mysteries of life and death, as well as some string to symbolize the threads of fate. By intertwining the two you will create a well of wisdom for questions of your future, specifically just how long until it happens if it is meant to be!

So to start get yourself a cauldron with a lid, preferably a good sturdy one but a decommissioned pot would be a good substitute. Next you’ll want to get yourself a ball of string that’ll fit inside of the vessel, preferably the string should be a natural/ neutral color like white or beige but if you want to incorporate a color red would be a good choice! To assemble the spell simply place the ball of string inside the cauldron and place the lid on, you’ll want a small amount of cord hanging out though so you could pull it.

To perform the spell take your cauldron with the string into a dark room that has been cleansed and protected from external forces. Have nearby a lit tealight so you may be able to barely see the obscured rite, and allowing your intuition to heighten in the encompassing darkness. Then go ahead and pinch the hanging piece of string and slowly pull on the cord whilst steadily whispering this incantation:

I whisper to you hidden well of wonders

And allow me to read your threads of fate

Begin to pull on the cord

In the name of the land

The sky

and the sea

By the lamb

By the truth

By the key

From the north

To the east

To the south

And to the west

Whether foul

Or fair

Will my fate be revealed?

The idea is to pull on the cord after your question has been asked in regards to how long something may happen or occur. “When will I receive that promotion?” “Will John or Jane marry me soon?” “How long until I get a new house?” Afterwards you’ll pull on the string while saying provided chant until you feel a small tug pulling it back. Depending on which stanza you land on will give you the answer you are seeking, with each one equating to a month each. If by the end of the chant your cord keeps getting longer it may be seen as an omen of it not happening anytime soon, but you may also cut the cord and redo the question if you please.

To enhance this ritual you could burn myrrh around you and make the amount of string the length of your body from your head to your toe. Doing it this way will amplify the presence of your spirit guides in regard to life changing questions. You could also wear a thin veil to mirror the fates, further obscuring your view to better heighten your cunning flame.
