Free spell for November: Jon Wata'

Protection is key for any aspect of daily life- one must protect their assets, peace, relations, and oneself against all worldly or spiritual harm. So for this free spell we will create a simple yet effective curio to annoint oneself for protection and use it as a bodyguard to keep all evil- not sin- from you. This item is known as Jon Wata' (also known as "John's Water") and is named after the piece of high john in the master bottle. Traditionally it is blue due to the addition of a bluing square in it but for this recipe we'll strip it down to it's most essential bits to make a mighty fine curio.

To create this item you would need to assemble the following:

• A small bottle of good whiskey or Hoyt's cologne

• A piece of camphor

• Some loose tobacco

• A high john chip

Add the camphor, tobacco, and high john chip into the whiskey and shake it well together. Recite Psalms 91 over it and bury it on the grounds of a good churchyard overnight, by the morning you'll have yourself a bottle of good ol' Jon Wata'. Additionally one could tie a little St. Michael medallion on the bottle neck. Dress yourself, one's items, or sprinkle around your space to keep evil at bay!
